Negin Sari began her formal violin training at the age of three and a half. She persistently
obtained training and successfully completed the Suzuki Violin Syllabus, while pursuing the
official Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) syllabus in both practical and music theory, history and counterpoint courses.
Negin has participated in a number of music competitions and was awarded two music
scholarships; The Toronto Suzuki Association Sheila Hall Van Gijn Scholarship in 2004 and The
York Symphony Orchestra String Scholarship in 2005 and was awarded first place in The
Pickering Rotary Music Festival 1998 Class Winner Strings. Negin has played with The York Symphony Orchestra from September 2003 until June 2012. She has also performed in several solo violin recitals.
Negin’s formal education has not ended there as she has obtained an Honours B.A. Degree in
Sociology from York University in 2012 and obtained an LLB (Hons.) Degree from the
University of Sussex in 2016.
